A associação Os Filhos de Lumière participou no 1º Encontro da Fundação Lucinda Atalaya que decorreu nos dias 22 e 23 de Janeiro, no Teatro Meridional em Lisboa.
O dia 22 foi dedicado à apresentação da Fundação e à evocação de Lucinda Atalaya, fundadora do Jardim-Infantil Pestalozzi, e o dia 23 à reflexão sobre "A educação hoje: na família, na escola, na sociedade" com uma mesa redonda moderada por Maria José Vidigal (psiquiatra, pedopsiquiatra e psicanalista). Oradores: Ana Margarida de Carvalho (jornalista); Jorge Dias de Deus (físico, professor no IST); Maria Luís Borges Castro (psiquiatra, pedopsiquiatra e psicanalista); Pedro Branco (professor 1º ciclo) Teresa Garcia (cineasta, co-fundadora da Associação Os Filhos de Lumiére)

Seminário na Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian: O lugar da criação artística nos sistemas de reinserção social
Tecer a Cidade- Projecto de reinserção pela arte é um projecto-piloto de natureza experimental que durou cerca de dois anos entre Junho de 2006 e Junho de 2008 e envolveu diversos intervenientes de diferentes áreas artísticas. Teresa Garcia que, acompanhada de outros profissionais de cinema, orientou as três oficinas de iniciação ao cinema integradas neste projecto, participou neste seminário dando conta do processo e dos seus resultados no interior dos três Centros Educativos.

CONFERENCIA NACIONAL DE EDUCAÇÃO ARTÍSTICA

Participação na Conferência Nacional de Educação Artística organizada pelo Ministério da Educação: Regina Guimarães apresentou uma comunicação sobre Os Filhos de Lumière/O Sabor do Cinema; Teresa Garcia participou numa mesa redonda com o tema “Itinerâncias Culturais” onde apresentou o programa pedagógico coordenado pela Cinemateca Francesa: Cinema, Cem Anos de Juventude que esta associação está levar a cabo desde 2006 no meio escolar e a oficina O Primeiro Olhar que se realiza em várias zonas do país desde 2001.
